I remember that I had likened Matthias to "a stick. In the mud. With random quips." in my review for the first book. This was one of the reasons why I had a hard time liking him because he's so opposite from Kaz.
And we all love Kaz, right?
I didn't realize that that quality of our "stick-in-the-mud" would actually become so endearingly humorous. And how much I'd actually adore it.
