So Bear-sitting continues on into Week 3, and the little guy has really grown on all of us. Here's the latest, and as per short exchange I had with Themis-Athena not long ago, maybe this pup really was raised by cats... or was a cat in his previous life. It might explain the box...
Moving along to our regularly scheduled BLopoly roll...
I ended up choosing to read a book by Kylie Brant for my previous roll, Chasing Evil, and finished reading it mere moments after midnight, and so will now be rolling a day later than I'd anticipated, but oh wells... This seems to be the pattern for me now.
Anyway, Chasing Evil was read for the Beach Week 10 square, wherein a chose an author--Kylie Brant--who's first or last name began with any of the letters in the word 'BEACH'. This was your typical Kylie Brant romantic suspense, but with a bit darker content, and maybe more focus on the psychopathic murderer/rapist than I would have liked. Still, I hooked me in. With this read completed, I've added another $3 to my bank, bringing me to $61!
This next roll was a 6, which took me to Mountain Cabin 16, one of the first squares I had landed on at the beginning of the game. We've been here before, and this is one of my more ideal squares, because I have SO MANY options!
So we go from Zen Monkey to Really Zen Monkey, as he makes himself comfortable on Penni's star-studded BLopoly board. I'm sure if Penni were capable of reactions other than excited, she'd be looking outraged right now. But at least Monkey has not disturbed any of the already placed stars. Sorry, Penni. You know how Monkey is. We'll have to live with this until the next roll...
Meanwhile, as I'd already stated, this is one of my more ideal squares, because solely based on the "mystery/suspense" requirements of this square, I've got a ton of books I can choose from. Because mystery = crime thriller, and romantic suspense is still suspense...
So following on the heels of my most recently finished book, Chasing Evil, I'm going to happily jump right into the next book in the trilogy.
Touching Evil is the second book in Kylie Brant's Circle of Evil trilogy, which is a crime thriller, murder mystery, and romantic suspense, all rolled into one book... just how I like them! The book is 288 pages, Kindle version, which will get me $3 upon completion.
