The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 9th and runs through Sunday, May 15th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. The last half of Bout of Books 16 week was a little less productive for me. I finished reading two books, which, Yay! But I got stuck on These Broken Stars. I just haven't really been into Young Adult books lately, but I'm going to try to finish it anyway--I'm thinking that maybe I should rethink some of my reading lists, but there are some YA books I really DO want to read. Maybe I'll just stick to more high fantasy stuff. I don't know.

Anyway, to summarize, I think I did quite well with this Bout of Books readathon. I met my goal of reading 4 books--I read 6 and am about 30% finished with another book. I didn't really keep track of how many hours I'd been spending reading each day, but I'm not going to sweat the details--I spent at least two to three hours reading before I go to sleep anyway, so that's good enough for me.

I had a slight advantage for Bout of Books this time around in that I had a lot of extra days off from work and had a lot of extra time to do some reading. So, yay for that too!
